Behruz Bahadoori is an Austrian artist born in 1956 near the Caspian Sea in Persia. As a child, he showed a great talent for painting and drew landscapes and portraits with charcoal and pastel crayons. Although the school system in Tehran prescribed him to study industrial accounting, Bahadoori continued to develop his artistic skills. Seeking a way out, he travelled to Europe, where he has been living in Germany and Vienna since 1979. Initially, he enrolled at the Academy of International Trade and Commerce in Vienna, but after two years, he dropped out to dedicate himself entirely to painting. He became the assistant of the renowned artist Gottfried Helnwein from 1983 to 1986 and learned various painting techniques. In 1984, he began his artistic work as a free artist, developing his own technique with aquarelle colors, oil, and acrylic. Bahadoori's focus is not only on artistic painting but also on the restoration of wall paintings and his own way of illusionary wall painting.
